NASA and the European space science communities each provided about half of the nine scientific instruments and support the investigators who reduce, analyze, report and archive the scientific results. Each science team is a combined NASA/ESA effort, consisting of both U.S. and European team members. Co-investigators are about evenly divided between the United States and ESA member nations.
